As far as I know, more than 90% of TSMC plants are still in Taiwan. There’s a planned Arizona plant and that’s it in the U.S.
Yes, Tim Cook is known for his supply chain management abilities. But still Apple faced problems during the height of U.S-China trade war when all their iPhone plants where located in China. Now, they are moving the plants out of China to different countries.
I’m just saying Apple should have a backup plan if something happens with their TSMC partnership.
